Description

The W22Xtb DIP motors were especially developed to maximize safety and quality in explosive atmospheres like Zone 21 and Zone 22, Groups IIIA, IIIB and IIIC, temperature class T125°C. They are an excellent option for application in the processing of grain, cereal, textile fiber, powder paint, polymers, among others. They offer reliability and safety in the presence of combustible dust in suspension or in layers (up to 5 mm).

These motors comply with the efficiency level, specified by IEC 60034-30-1.

Sealing

  • W3 Seal: aiming to reduce the problems caused by aggressive agents to rolling bearings, WEG developed the W3Seal sealing system, which prevents the ingress of contaminants (dust, water or a mixture of both) into the bearing;
  • Degree of protection IP66.

Safety

  • The control of the surface temperature avoids the ignition of combustible dust suspended in the air in contact with the motor;
  • It has a thermistor per phase, protecting the motor under normal operating conditions.
